Collaborative Workspace consolidates team updates, goal tracking, announcements, and tasks into one auditable system with real-time visibility. It is built as a monorepo with independently deployed Next.js and Express services.

Real-time System
Socket.io powers presence, activity, task, announcement, and notification updates through personal user rooms and workspace-wide channels.
Authentication and RBAC
JWT access tokens and database-backed refresh tokens use http-only cookies. Server-side permissions distinguish ADMIN, MEMBER, and VIEWER capabilities across workspace, goal, task, and announcement actions.
Optimistic Frontend
Zustand stores and rollback-aware optimistic updates keep goals, action items, and announcements responsive while socket listeners synchronize changes across the workspace.

Deployment
The web application is deployed on Vercel and the API on Render, backed by PostgreSQL. Swagger documentation is available for exploring the REST API, with local development supported through the monorepo workspace scripts.
